I'm giving the book 3 1/2 stars. I liked it, don't get me wrong but I had more cons than pros. So we have Morgan who is the main female character. She's raised in a poverty stricken world. On her 18th birthday a man, Drew Kelly, shows up to "buy her". Their relationship is one that's very disturbing! At times it was hard to read & absorb! I hated Drew with a passion! Morgan was abused physically, mentally, emotionally & sexually! Finally after 6 years she's able to escape! She meets some friends in a small Maine town where she's now Ryle. Life is getting better. She's falling for the Sheriff, Dawson. Till she has an accident leaving her back in her husband Draw's hands & has amnesia! Who is she? Rebuilding her relationship with Drew she's slowly regaining her memory! The only thing is Drew changes. SHE has control now! She's no longer scared!
One day she sees Dawson & she remembers! For me, this is what drove me nuts & wanted to stop reading! She finds her mom & rekindles that relationship! Great! The last half of the book is Morgan/Ryle going back & forth between men trying to figure out what she wants!!! I for the life of me don't get how Drew could still be an option, but to each their own! She ends up picking her soul mate with a little help from a little one & friends! It ended really good & I was satisfied with the ending!! I loved the beginning & the end but the middle lost me!
It was a really long book with sooooo much abuse. The things that went on were horrific! I couldn't even imagine! The book was well written. I don't think my heart & mind can take this type of erotic novel, however, I know lots of you will love it!!! Good job over all Jettie!
