Great rom-com with a twist! I loved this book from beginning to end! You will laugh, want to throat punch & laugh some more.

Faith is a single mom that will do whatever it takes to make ends meet, even if it means cleaning houses & selling sex toys. At one of her parties, she meets her new bff, Sylvia. I absolutely adored Sylvia. She made the book in my opinion. Sylvia gives her the hook up to a better job & the real story starts there! Gabe is Faith's boss & OMG!!!!! He's supposed to be this arrogant jerk but we quickly learn a new side to Gabe.

I loved watching the characters grow. Faith & Gabe both are very different people at the beginning of the book to the end. The transformation was astounding! There's one more character I need to mention & that's Joey, Faith's daughter! She's amazing! I would love to read a book about her once she's grown because I know it'll be awesome!

It wouldn't be a Beth Rinyu book with a surprise plot twist. OMG! I surely didn't see it coming but WOW! Another amazing book!

I had always been a good girl ruled by my catholic guilt, until one little slip-up in college led me down a different path. Now, I’m just trying to be the best mom I can to my little girl, making ends meet - cleaning houses by day, hosting sex toy parties at night, and holding out hope that Prince Charming truly does exist. Then I met him - handsome, successful, and hardworking. The perfect Prince Charming. Right? Wrong. So wrong. I’m carefree. He’s a perfectionist. I’m broke. He’s rich. I’m a single mom. He doesn’t have patience for kids. And…Did I mention, he’s my new boss? A boss who has me thinking more impure thoughts than a teenage boy with their first dirty magazine, a boss who is totally out of my league, and a boss who I’m impossibly attracted to. Sometimes a girl must give up the illusion that fairy tales exist and realize happily ever afters only happen in movies. I’m not a princess, and he’s not a prince. But when an unconventional fairy godmother intervenes to work her magic, maybe just maybe, I’ll get to wear that crown after all.
Ever since I can remember, I have always enjoyed Creative Writing. There was always something about being able to travel to a different place or become a different person with just the stroke of a pen - or in today's world a touch of the keyboard. I am the author of The Exception To The Rule, An Unplanned Lesson, An Unplanned Life, Drowning In Love, A Cry for Hope, A Will To Change, Blind Side of Love, When The Chips Are Down and Easy Silence.
My life is not as interesting as my books or the characters in them, but then again whose life is? I'm a mom of twin teenage boys, a crazy Border Collie and a cat with an identity crisis! I guess you can say writing is my form of relaxation.

5 Amazing Stars
This book is everything you want when sitting down to read. I love both of these authors so I had high hopes for Mallory & Brent's story. Let me just say, it did not disappoint. As a matter a fact, I've read the book twice already! It's that amazing! It will have you laughing, crying, smitten and frustrated throughout, all the elements of an awesome story. I'm warning you now, once you start it you won't want to stop.

The story spans from childhood to adulthood in chronological order. We get to grow up with Mallory, Brent, and their classmates. Mallory is an amazing character. She's always been a little overweight which lead to her being bullied. Mostly by none other than Brent, who ends up being the star jock of the school. We watch their relationship grow from enemies to friends to much more. I loved the adversities they were faced with. It made it so very real, which is why I connected with the story so much. The secondary characters were amazing also. They really complemented the story nicely.

This story hit home for me. In the early years, it brought me back to elementary & high school, but the later years really touched me. We see this happen every day in real life. I applaud the authors for writing such a real story. I think many will connect with the characters and the situations that they face throughout the book.

If you are looking for a life, love, loss and second chance story, this is one you don't want to miss. Get ready for a roller coaster ride of emotions and experience life with Brent, Mallory, and their friends.

Blurb:

Are broken roads worth traveling?

As the daughter of a hard working single mother, Mallory James is very familiar with struggle. Loneliness becomes a common theme in her life, especially because she suffers with issues such as low self-esteem, poor body image, and a lack of confidence. She’s more than happy to be the wallflower who hides away from the world that intimidates her, especially when in high school.

Brent Grayson is a wealthy, bold, sexy, and confident star athlete who can land any woman he wants. However, outward appearances can often be deceiving. Though he’s a bully with a bad attitude, an odd and seemingly unlikely bond begins after they meet in kindergarten, and continues well into adulthood.
Then everyday life happens…

Their paths split and a decision must be made. Will Brent and Mallory successfully navigate the roads they’re on, or give up and search for a different route all together?

 LK Owen:

I live in a small town in the south east of England, and have lived here all my life. I’m married and have three children. I only started reading three years ago, when my husband bought me a kindle for Christmas. It started my love of all things books. 18 months ago I had a health scare and to take my mind off of it, I began writing. Soon it grew into the full length novel, Sucker Punched. I have since released Ethan: A Novella and book two in the series, Reclaiming Beauty.
