I was given this book for an honest review. I was also drawn in by the cover & by the synopsis so I probably would have read it anyway. Shortly after beginning the book, I was easily distracted & disappointed. I find that the story wasn't keeping my attention very well. The days one the island seemed to drag on & so did my mind!
Bianca is one of the main characters in the book & is a movie critic. She spends her time watching movies then writing reviews about them. She also is looking into the death of her mother. She & her deceased father doesn't think it was a accident & the more she digs for information the more danger she is putting herself in. As the story goes on she is one day kidnapped & put on this deserted Island with a mysterious guy named Jakob. They have no clue who each other are & they don't know why they are on this island together. Once they are free from being tied up together they have to figure out how to survive. As time goes on they start to talk and try to figure out why they are here & how will they will ever get home. Then all of a sudden a third person named Steve just shows up. They don't know him or why he's there either. The story continues as they all 3 try & figure out why they are stranded on this Island. As the days & nights go on they start to put some of the pieces together but no one seems to trust the other so the lies just keep pilling up.
My biggest problem was with Jakob. He annoyed me from about midway on. You are stranded on an island and you don't know why but all you want to do is try to have sex with this girl that you don't think you know?? I don't get it! I didn't understand why things were happening but then everything else seemed to be in slow motion. Like I said before, it was really slow moving & didn't keep my attention. It ends with a cliffhanger, so there will be another book. I'm not sure if I'll read it or not but I am curious as to what happens to them all!

“I have you in the palm of my hands,” he whispered softly and leaned toward me.
“What do you mean by that?” I whispered back at him, my stomach jumping as his fingers brushed my wet hair away from my face.
“Nothing.” He shook his head. “I’m just saying, I could do what I wanted to you right now, but all I’m doing is saving you. I hope you’ll trust me after this.”
“Untie me and I’ll trust you.” I nodded, unblinking.
“Can I get a kiss as well?” His eyes sparkled as his lips came dangerously close to mine.
“What?” I closed my eyes and waited to feel his lips on mine.
“Open your eyes, Bianca.” He whispered against my lips. I could feel his breath gliding over my skin as I opened my eyes slowly. I swallowed hard as I stared up at him.
